The English Department is revising the curriculum into three tracks:

• English Major with Literature Emphasis

• English Major with Creative Writing Emphasis

• English Major with Writing & Communication Studies Emphasis

The Department will also three independent minors:

• Literature

• Creative Writing

• Writing & Communication Studies

Finally, the first director for the New York Semester in Communications & Media is Sandra Jamieson, Professor of English.

The gateway course for the Writing & Communications Studies Emphasis is ENGL 111
